NYC Marathon Volunteers and Bus

Looking for New York City Marathon volunteers to help with the Cherry Hill reunion area on Sunday November 6th. The JSRC has been helping the marathon and working this area since 1999. This is a volunteer commitment for the entire day, we report to Central Park around 9:30am and finish up around 5:00pm. The club does provide a bus leaving from the Red Bank commuter lot at 8:00am and returning after we finish up. A nominal fee of $10 is charged for the bus ride. If you are interested please contact Philip Hinck at phinck@comcast.net and provide your full name, date of birth, personal email address and cell phone number (if you have) .  There are a limited number of slots available - first come first served.

We still have a few seats left on the busses which will take runners and spectators to the start and then pick them up at the finish in Central Park.  Sign Up soon to reserve your seat as we will not add another bus.

Get in the Picture

The Sky turned Orange in honor of the Club Run a few weeks ago. This was not taken on Mars. 

Come out to the Club's Thursday Run in Belmar.  We meet at the Fifth Ave Pavilion on the Boardwalk in Belmar .  All paces represented from under 6 min/mile to 12 plus min/mile.  We run distances of from 3 to 8 miles. Stop by and you may get in the Picture!

Boardwalk Running Report from Hurricane Irene

Thursday Run is On

Belmar Boardwalk at Fifth Ave Pavilion at 6 PM

The boardwalks are clear except for a portion of Spring Lake so should be no problem running.  The group meets every Thursday in all types of weather for runs along the Belmar and Spring Lake Boardwalks.  You can run any distance you like with most doing about 5 or 6 but some also doing 3 or 8.. All paces and abilities are represented - so stop by.

Sunday Run is On

The routes we run on Sunday are pretty much clear.  Stop by the club house at Bodman Park in Middletown for a run.  Most start at 8 AM.  Runs are from about 6 miles to 20 miles with most doing about 10.
