Congrats to all who have received confirmation that they have been accepted into this year's NYC Marathon. The club will again be having busses to take runners to the start in Staten Island and then picking them up at Central Park.  Registration for the busses are now open - they fill up fast and price will go up as well.  If you have never done the NYC Marathon getting transportation is always a hassle - but with the club busses we take away a worry for you so you can concentrate on your race..

Race Commemorates Captain Ron Zinn

46th Annual Event - Read Article

Sunday, March 27, 5K Run at 10 AM, 10 K Race Walk plus Health Walk at 11:30 AM, 46th Annual Captain Ron Zinn Memorial Races, Wall Municipal Complex, Allaire road, Wall, NJ -

Capt. Ron Zinn, lost his life in combat during the Vietnam War. A race walker, he was a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in the 1964 Summer Games at Tokyo and his sixth place finish in the 20 km event was considered outstanding for American walkers at that time.

Ron Zinn's sixth-place in the 1964 Olympic 20 km. walk was one of the top performances in walking for an American at the Olympics. Zinn also won a bronze medal in the event at the 1963 Pan American Games. From 1960-64 he won 12 AAU walk titles over various distances. Zinn was a graduate of the US Military Academy and was sent to Vietnam late in 1964. In July 1965 he was presumed killed in a firefight near Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), although for many years he was listed as MIA.
