Gránia Maggio, of Lake Como, N.J., formerly of East Brunswick, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005, as a result of being struck by an automobile in Saratoga Springs, N.Y after a Dave Matthews Concert. Miss Maggio was born in New Brunswick. She graduated from East Brunswick High School and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Miss Maggio was a physical therapist at Health South in Toms River. Grania was 33, a JSRC Member, and an avid runner. She was training, with her sister Maire, for the Marine Corps Marathon to be held in October 2005. Her sister Liz ran the marathon in Gránia's place. Gránia had run the Dublin Ireland marathon in previous years.
